More not bushwalking Trailer tent roof

Postby Moondog55 » Sun 16 Apr, 2023 2:33 pm

I have just bought a cheap box trailer to use on our July/August road trip to Uluru.
Peoples opinions and advice on some sort of tent coverage for this and the easiest and/or best way to accomplish this

First?
How much stuff are you going to be putting in there?

If the stuff is only x deep then you only need to cover to that depth + a bit.
If x is less than the height of the solid side walls then a simple cover at the side wall height would do.

No point in making a large wind sock when you don't need it.

We need a bed on wheels, but I intend to put on the tent roof only when we stop and use it

Project totally abandoned. Cecile won't go camping at all now.
But I do get a decent junk trailer for going to the tip and for general carrying purposes
Warin to the gunnels it takes 1.2 cubic metres but as it's not braked only 750kg total. I guess a months worth of food, fuel and gear
