Hammock pillow

Postby simonm » Mon 28 Apr, 2014 9:38 am

I made this for the hammock but could obviously be used on the ground as well. It has 5 layers of 4oz Climashield Apex as the fill.

Outer shell: Argon67
Fill: Climashield Apex
Dimensions: 300mm x 200mm
Weight: 40grams
Has grosgrain loop in corner for attachment to hammock ridgeline.

Nice size. But I can't work out the rationale of a dramatically collapsible pillow (not air bladder).
Just move it!

In a hammock you don't need much support from a pillow, so this will give you a bit of support and some insulation at the same time. On the ground you would need it to be a bit firmer, in my experience.

Looks great Simon. I have one of the arrowhead ones and find it great. As you say you don't need much of a pillow in a hammock and that looks pretty sweet. Is that a gross grain loop on the corner to attach some zing it to your ridgeline

Thanks Mic. Yep just some 13mm grosgrain, I was going to use some shock cord to attach to the ridgeline.
Pretty simple build, cut out 2 pieces of fabric, sew down 3 sides with fabric inside out, turn right side out, add climashield, sew up final edge with grosgrain in corner.
