Small easy modification

Postby Moondog55 » Fri 31 May, 2013 1:32 pm

To my WE Alpine Expedition
I have just spent a few minutes with a needles and some heavy thread and modified the detachable WE back pocket.
Just some time, webbing and some plastic buckles.
Now I think it will be easier to use the back pocket with a shovel and it should act as a secondary compression aid as well.
The extra buckles on top and bottom fix it to the shoulder harness of my bum bag to give a very small extra capacity

Modern harnesses you can never get enough side compression. Pack em long, always.
Every four seconds, somewhere in the world, an Harlequin Mills and Boon is sold ... Wot ...

If maximising compression is the aim then they could always be fitted at the rear loops not the front ones and very easily changed to a front compression strap like the old army ones from the ALICE pack, but if I needed a pack that small I'd probably just take a different rucksac
