"University of Newcastle researchers have found that applying an ointment commonly used to treat angina to snakebite wounds can improve survival times by up to 50%. The study found that applying the cream, which contains glyceryl trinitrate, slows the transport of venom toxins through the lymphatic system into the bloodstream."
