Mortons Nueromas

After more than ten years of hiking with severe foot pain I've finally been diagnosed with Morton's Neuromas in both feet. Problem is congenital, not acquired.
Tried lots of different boots, lacing techniques....etc...
I really don't want to give up bushwalking so any tips on how to prevent/and/or alleviate symptoms and pain would be greatly appreciated.
Used to be able to hike for at least a couple of hours before symptoms started, now.......
Must say, the last hour or two, first day, of the OT is excruciating and has me in tears every year.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Just, please, don't tell me to stop walking :)

Cortisone injections might provide some symptomatic relief though they won't make the problem go away. If it's that bad you might need to consider surgery.

I have this problem in my left foot and could barely walk after a short time making work painfully difficult and bushwalking almost impossible.
I went to a good podiatrist and now have some somewhat expensive orthotics that have completely solved the problem.
A quick google brought up this - http://www.foothealthfacts.org/footankl ... euroma.htm
There is a list of non surgical treatments which includes orthotics.

I should add that the Podiatrist I went to is somewhat of a sports specialist. Melbourne Foot Clinic. I have no affiliations with MFC.
Not helpful to you in Perth but might be of help some readers over here.
