Rafting the Huon river from Scotts peak to Tahune

Hi all just wondering if anyone on here has done the journey from scotts peak to Tahune airwalk rafting or kayaking? It is a trip that I would be interested in and any information would be helpful. cheers

Have you come across the paddle tasmania website? There is a river description on their for the upper huon.

My son kayaked it a few years ago. It was a pretty good trip from his accounts but the biggest issue for him was dragging the kayaks down dry river beds and over some small waterfalls with little water to reach a river large enough to paddle in. From memory they did it in about three days.

Do an over flight with Par Avion. Most of the river is visible from the air. That will show how low the water might be late December.

Last time I looked at it from the air in late January it was a wander and not a paddle.
