Not a Tick but shows how easy it can happen.

One day I came into work early as usual and there was an odd smell but didn’t seem too much of a problem, not unusual from the reprographics area so we all just got on with it. After maybe a half hour or so I started to get hives but no one else did. I decided to go home sick to deal with it. Next day I learned there had been a transformer fluid leak (PCB). Everyone had been evacuated and taken to hospital and checked over. For me though, nothing was offered or done at all ever. Within a day or 2 I developed chronic hay fever. Yep 24/7 all year, allergic to practically everything. For ages I could only sleep sitting up in a chair all night every night (impossible to sleep lying down). No compo, no nothing, apparently association with the event at work could not be proved so I just had to keep working dripping everywhere. It did gradually taper off over the next 20 + years or so with constant preventer medication and bouts of bronchitis from the reaction products etc. I have been fairly clear now for about a 2 months since getting onto Magnesium supplement.

Regards,
Ken
