I have done southern end of Cloisters to Cathedral, I cant remeber any real issues. Just took a compass bearing and followed it. Every now and then there was divert round some scrub.
The worst scrub was as we left Cloisters and that was not too bad as compared to scrub in other parts of Tassie.
We did come across some cairns, followed them for awhile while they were going in the right directiion.
We didnt actually get up Convent but just around its foot hills. We were coming from Junction.
If heading to to Junction I would stay to the north of Convent . Also you dont want to be to far north when dropping down to cloisters as the western side looked pretty scrubby and steep. Got to aim for the end of Cloisters.
