Does anybody know what this plant is and whether the fruit might be edible? I saw one of these in the Victoria Falls area in the Blue Mountains last weekend. The fruit didn't smell particularly inviting but it looked interesting.

Pittosporum undulatum - Sweet pittosporum. It's an environmental weed in some areas.

That's it. Thanks MickyB! No eating then from what I've read.

Thanks MickyB, I was wondering exactly the same thing.
I saw several of these just upstream of Blue Gum Forest on 4th April, and thought they looked potentially edible. Being old enough that I'm more-or-less disposable, I had the tiniest taste but quickly decided they had no potential as food.
