Fixed New winter longjohns

Postby Moondog55 » Wed 16 Apr, 2014 11:28 am

Many thanx to the management and staff at Patagonia Torquay for the help this morning; especially the manager Merrin and Lockie at head office around the back
I managed to get 2 pair of boot cut pants that "FIT" and I got a decent discount on a new winter top as well and cheaper than at OZsales too [although not by much when petrol cost is factored in] so I am almost set for this season.
Why is it that when patterns are made up for cutting people forget that bigger people usually have bigger hands? I will need to enlarge the fly "Access" so I can actually use these without trouble. Fly on XS was same size as XL and XXL.
Now I just need a new Mid-Layer if possible

Moondog will you be posting a winter gear list again with your changes from last year. I would be interested in the evolution of your kit.

I suppose I'll have to now.
I have made a couple of purchases to save some weight and work better as part of the "System"

I have to write a packing list
No trouble to paste it and ask for the critique
I'm still looking for a new set of pants and jacket as last years is worn out [ only 10 years old too] and I don't think there will be time left to sew anything up.
I will be very glad when the renovations are not taking up so much time and effort and causing so much partnership stress.
Main new addition is the WM half bag
Everything else is base camp stuff; in the main anyway
