Do you really know anywhere?

I went for a bit of a bush bash round bobbin head today. I know the trails around there, but once i'm off the paths I don't know it. I reckon if I had the time (redundancy, retirement) i'd like to pick a (smallish) area and really know what every valley and cliff-line was like. Does anyone feel they 'know' anywhere? Not necessarily every blade of grass but the ups and downs and features and if any human history is there.

I have to agree There is area that fascinates me and every time I go, or speak to people about the area. I learn more about it.
