Upper Upper Wollangambe canyon

Postby johnrs » Tue 15 Nov, 2022 4:23 pm

Hi Folks
Has anyone here done the canyon section between Wollangambe Crater and the first or Tourist Wollangambe canyon at Mt Wilson?
How was it and especially how long did it take.
At least a long day for a slower group I would imagine?
Presumably on lilos with no abseils?
Thanks
John

Now that was a long time ago. In fact, we have done the whole stretch from the headwaters to WC. There is an 'interesting' concrete dam some way down, below the mines - rather polluted. So much for pristine waters and National Parks.
But no abseils as far as I can remember. I don't think we even took any ropes. Not sure whether we bothered with lilos either, until close to WC.

Cheers
