Hi all,
I’m just doing some research on this hut while I’m currently off work, does anyone have any updated information as to wether the hut is still there? I’ve been wanting to visit for a while now, but have been so busy this summer. Please feel free to post or private message me on any updates, it would be greatly appreciated!

The Hydro Hut is still there. It's a beautiful location, no trouble getting to it provided the outflow of Lake Agnew isn't in flood.
Paul.

Thanks for posting this! A few notes after completing this trip in Feb 2024. The hut was given a fresh coat of interior paint and critter-proofed by the Parks Service in November 2023. The hut is in great shape. The point to exit the Overland is Lake Homes (after Lake Will turnoff). Once turning off, shoot to thread between Lake Mcrae and Lake Agnew. Razorback Ridge is the primary feature you need to identify for nav. Get onto Razorback Ridge as soon as possible to avoid the scrub. If you follow this route, it's 2.25 hrs from the Overland to the hut. Do not approach Hydro from Windermere hut, it will add 2 extra hours of brutal scrub. It's a sweet spot, enjoy.

Hey there Kmruss. Thanks for the helpful update, and welcome to the forum. I might finally get out that way soon.
