The LNRTS is available for comment on the Shire of Augusta/Margaret community website at the moment.

More walking tracks and bike paths in the region could be a really good thing..........however, the grand master plan for the Cape to Cape sounds like commercialization of a natural asset that is already well utilized. Do we really need links from the track " to other tourist facilities" along the way ?

And as a daily user of the Wadandi Track ( Rails to Trails ) between Cowaramup and Margaret River it has been alarming to see how the high level of maintenance of this track has dwindled away to nothing in recent years leaving a path of exposed tree roots, rocks and in-passable bog holes after a little bit of rain.
If there is no money allocated to remove weeds and carry out basic maintenance on what trails already exist in the region then is it wise to pump large sums of money into sleek new tracks that will over time be left to fall apart as well ?
