Temps 30 odd, so up to 34/5 on ranges, shade/water is ur friend, southerners may still have to hide in heat of day

Rocks and flies by the millions, fly veil (must), serviceable boots (my scarpas separated with heat and rocks - god bless super glue and zippy ties).
Water, all tanks full, up to individual as to how much water you carry, won't comment, always a subject that people feel strongly about

Animals, birds, snakes, dingoes, wild horses and cattle.
People, saw 3 people actually on trail, was great chatting to tourists at gorges though. Met some really nice people.
Terrain, real work out on the knees and ankles, up and down constantly to and from 1200m. Did I mention the rocks?! Lol Watch out for arch bridges and steps created by a mob of taswegian stonemason volunteers, stunning work fellas!
Directions, take maps, 2/3 dodgy areas plus good to know where you are.
Shelters, so so, most time under Mossie net as no dew, awesome having a ceiling of stars. Watch out for the bomb proof bunkers at Finke River and (? Memory), solid steel! With gas! We'll be paying in no time

Overall, ruggedly beautiful, so very peaceful, get in some work on the legs, knees and ankles to make it that little more enjoyable hey
