I have been told that you can do a few multi night walks in the Kalbarri NP, but can't seem to find any information online about them. The only stuff I can find points to the small day walk loop. Does anybody have any experience of information on such walks?

Not directly but the Perth Bushwalkers Club generally does a Kalbarri Gorges walk each year around July IIRC. They arrange water drops in advance. Also it will involve river crossings if the water levels are high enough. Keep in mind the Murchison River is salty so not drinkable.

I believe you can walk from Ross Graham Lookout to the Loop. It's 38km, untracked with several river crossings. You would need to bring water for the whole trip, it might take up to 4 days. Talk to Kalbarri DEC office.

A mate of mine was up there not long ago and said he did a loop walk of 2 days. Best idea go to the information centre or better a DEC office.

Just remember that it is gets really hot down in the Gorge. Would not recommend this walk until at least April... however if you can, June as the flies can be intolerable in the early part of the year.

Hi Folks. I published some track notes in WILD a few years ago: about a 3 to 4 day walk from Hawks Head down to the Z Bend. Its quite a cruisey walk but:
i) Water - wait until july august then you can collect water from rain water pools en route rather than carry 10l.
ii) river crossings are a doddle in OCT and sometimes only necessary to get to a better campsite / easier walking. I have walked the whole route on the true LH Bank as the river was flooding and we could not cross.
iii) THE DEC will tell you its a CANYON and really dangerous. They have no idea. Down stream of Z Bend there are some hi traverses and ledges but it is NOT a canyon.
iv) There is some good rock climbing to be had as well.
