Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has accessed the base of Mapleton falls in the Sunshine Coast hinterland before.
Just moved to the area and after a look at the falls and a lot of people saying it isn’t possible, it has been decided in my head I have to go there.

I believe the issue with the base of the falls is that it is surrounded by private land with no safe access from the top where the lookout is.
This happens quite a bit in QLD with even some national parks being fully enclosed by private lands.

I can verify it has been done before.

As mentioned before, private property is an issue.

An astute navigator might be able to get there staying within NP bounds but it would probably require some rope use, providing the vegetation is forgiving...
