A suggestion was made for a sticky for each state and territory showing road closures. Please advise here of any edits to the Queensland sticky and of any road closures.

The Queensland sticky is at viewtopic.php?f=38&t=27988

If visiting Springbrook NP in the gold coast hinterland, Pine Creek Rd is still the only way in at the moment & the Purling Brook Falls Circuit in still closed...you can still get to the base of the falls but you have to return the same way you came in.(its on the NP's website too).

Lovely photogenic rainbow at the base of the falls because of all the fine spray & my 5yo lad enjoyed exploring the creek outlet. Stick and leaf races in the current & over the cascades were the go... 8)
No pythons spotted...

Apparently the Gold Coast - Springbrook Road via Mudgeeraba has finally reopened...back to two access routes again if you want to visit Springbrook NP.

I don't think the event will be running given the fire danger

I don't think there'll be lighting fires during the event...but you can still use the NP's tracks, just no open fires.

I take that back...Binna Burra section is closed until the 10th.
Springbrook is still open. Thanks metastable.

Mt Lindesay Highway is still closed beyond Rathdowney, heading for Woodenbong.

Lions Road (East of), The Head Road & Carney's Creek roads (West of) are alternatives routes to get around.

Just a heads up if your thinking about using the Head Rd, Carney's Creek rd from the 23rd August for future bushwalking access....the section of road near the Teviot Falls lookout will be closed for 4months.

That's a bit of a nuisance, thanks for the update.
The map they've provided appears to show the closure to the north of Brett's Road; in your opinion would it be possible to access it using an ordinary 2WD from the south, using Condomine River Road from Killarney across to the Head Road? I'm not familiar with the road. It's made more complicated by the fixed border closures at White Swamp Road and Carney's Creek. I suppose they've decided to take advantage of the decreased traffic.

From the top of the range (the long way round through Cunninghams Gap) you can still use Spring Creek Rd via Killarney past Queen Mary Falls to access Brett Rd & the Main Range.

Condamine River road is dirt with lots of creek crossings, needs a 4wd/Allwd. One is deep from memory. Usually snapped closed by council after a heavy rain event.

Carney's Creek/White Swamp/Head Gate Rd access depending on border restrictions (short route)

Thanks for that, I didn't think of going that way. I thought Condomine River Road looked a bit sketchy! Carney's Creek would be my first choice but the minor border gate closures don't look like they're going away any time soon.

Update.
The Head road is open, just a set of stop & go lights at the single lane section before the Teviot Falls lookout.

Explore until your heart's content.

I was up there 3 weeks ago and there was no sign of closure then. It wouldn't have stopped us doing what we had to do anyway. A loop over Superbus. Maybe adding an extra kilometre in total for the day. The road doesn't need to be open when you're on foot.

True. Where there's a will there's a way.
I was in the area today, so thought I'd close off on my earlier comment.
