Hike near Cairns and Townsvill

Postby aainaustralia » Tue 15 Apr, 2014 10:32 pm

Hi hiker colleagues,
I'm new in Australia (living currently in Sydney) and I'm looking for an overnight hike (3-4 days) around Cairns and Townsvill. We, 3 friends and myself, are spending 10 days of vacation in Queensland. Arriving in Cairns, we have a car and now we are looking for a nice 3-4 days hike.
We already did the Overland Track, are used to hike back in our country (mountains and forests but Europeans one, less risky from an animal point of view :D ).
I would much appreciate if somebody could help us finding a nice hike, with camping place.
Cheers

Hi and welcome to the forum. I suggest you post this query on the Queensland thread viewforum.php?f=38 There's lots of Victorians who go there but the locals have the good oil.
