In the wake of questions about the availability of water at camp, I am reminded of the kitchen sink with a water tab inside Cleve Cole Hut. A good work has been done here. Solar has been used to pump creeks water into the water tap in the hut. Here is the pix taken early this month.

From memory, water has been available from the tap in the hut for many years now. Cleve Cole Hut has always been a little bit of luxury on the mountain.

Why pump? It used to be gravity fed.
Several huts have gravity fed water, I have helped clean out the pond for Johnstons more than once

I am not an engineering person; so can not discuss; but as a user's point of view, i can see the benefits. It is good that the hut has been well-kept and maintained.

Cleve Coles water comes for the creek below the hut but a pipe runs to a point higher up above the hut level the water only looks like it comes from down hill

If without water from Cleve Cole Hut, we would have to go further 2 kms to the east for water and camp. It was a relief to see the sight of the hut from the distance.
