Overgrown fireplace/chimney behind Gentleman's Halt

Hey all,

Does anyone have any information on this old fireplace/chimney up behind Gentleman's Halt. It's about 400m up the hill from the campground. Looks like it could have been part of a cottage of some sort but no other foundations left that I saw. It's amazing how the trees have grown to it's contours.

Interesting. That house is quite far from where the chimney is but didn't realise there was such a community down there.

Thanks! Turns out that land belonged to Ward Stephens one of the founders of the Sydney Morning Herald
