Well, we've got structural concerns in the economy, so there was not enough money to fix Poverty Bridge in a hurry. Too bad if you needed it to do that section of the AAWT.

Name this SA range:

Nice photo - took a while to work it out, but that will be the south western wall of Wilpena Pound at the Edeowie Gorge end - small one is Madge Hill and the major peak is Pompey Pillar probably just out of view on the RHS.

Thanks, eggs, you have identified it well. (But did you also spot what must be a rarity in this Game, the B-double truck heading south on the Leigh Creek-Hawker road?)

The early morning cloud spilled over this western side of Wilpena Pound, and was also descending over the full length of the Heysen Range further north. I didn't get close enough to the latter to take more photographs because I had to turn off at Edeowie to walk that gorge.

West from Renmark. Renmark area is flatter.

Yes John. A small lookout just out of Waikerie. The level if flooding is easy to compare with photos from the same spot a year ago. Water is clearly high on the left hand cliffs, and the car ferry was shifted to higher ground and was still mostly surrounded by water.

As well as the number of drowned trees on the opposite banks. Trying to cast my mind back 44 years or so when we drove from Sydney to Adelaide not too long after getting married.
I remember driving through Renmark, and presumably Waikerie, as we were car camping in the Barossa Valley.
Finally revisiting SA in a couple of months time, albeit returning by train from WA, so literally only whistle stop visits.

Continuing the recent theme, here's another from my ACT trip a couple of weeks ago. What track/location am I on?

Yep, short side trip on the way back from Gibraltar Peak.
Xanthorrhoea loop, aka Wandarawari according to some recent looking signage.

Could it be on the track running off the end of Greens Road Warrrimoo looking towards Bunyans Lookout?
