JohnW: I think you are looking at The Castle on the right and Byangee Walls on the right from Mount Bushranger or Talaterang.

Not Talaterang. Mmm, I'm a bit OCD and accuracy counts. I hope I'm not being picky, because I suspect you know where I am.
So your other guess is not the correct name of my location, and I'm unaware if somewhere with your spelling may exist elsewhere in the same area.
Budawangs is not my strength.

I don't know about picky, but I sure am confused.

It's got to be The Castle, Castle Gap and Byangee Mountain because it is almost exactly the same picture I have so I will say you are standing at either Gadara Point or on Mount Bushwalker. If pressed, I think I would go with Mount Bushwalker! But, then again.....

Correct! You had it as Mt "Bushranger" initially, which confused me because I don't know whether that is an actual location in the Budawangs.
I thought you probably meant Mt Bushwalker, hence my rambling. All yours Sandy.

I'd imagine the scrub to be horrendous down there these days. NSW again, where's this taken from?

I'm pretty confident you're somewhere on the Western Fall. It looks really familiar but I can't match it to my own photos.
I don't think you're on Townsend. I don't think you're on Alice Rawson either but might be somewhere near it?
