Thanks for the recommendation, but I prefer the other one. This one has too much grass and not quite enough log litter. And surely that fire circle should be a lot bigger.

That's right, jonnosan. The second photo is in the crater, the first photo is beside the Wollongambe.

As for peregrinator, perhaps he's being sarcastic, in which case there's also a nearby rock overhang good for sleeping (except when the river floods) that has no fire circle and no log litter.

It has weathered a bit since I was last there. Staying with the structural theme, NSW:

Mmm, that saved me some embarrassment, Tantangara was my next guess.
Definitely looks like the northern part of the park though.

So somewhere on the snowy plains.

Are you near Daveys Hut?

That's close enough. It's the old crossing on Teddys Creek. The fire trail now crosses Campbells Creek but if you follow the mapped trail, you'll find what's left of the old bridge.

This was a wet trip.

I reckon you''ll be correct eggs. Thunder and Lightning Falls I believe.
Very difficult/dangerous access route apparently.

Eggs is correct, and John has correctly named the waterfalls.
Access wasn't too bad, I mean, it's a rough and off track route through steep temperate/tropical rainforest, but there are not really any places where if you slip you 100% die.
Have either of you two been?

I reckon eggs should go next.

Yes eggs, should go. I only researched further from his answer. No, closest I've been would be some of the tracks around Binna Burra.
Most of the online trip reports etc suggest that it's a bit of a mission.

Not been there - but I had seen a description on this site in the past.
It also appears under a canyoning company webpage.

This is in the NT - front feature is not really named - but the area is, and one or 2 peaks at the rear are named.
