I don't know the area well enough but, looking at the map, are you somewhere near Australia Tarn or The Hippogriff looking at Mt Gell?

Not on top of the Ducane Range, but a fair way up the side. Lots of rock pools there.

Geeze I reckon you could split the difference between those two. Both are correct. I'm at the highest point between Lake Helios and the Gully that climbs up from The Labryinth.
Tortoise was first and I was a little bit closer to between Eros and Hyperion

Wrong half of the Island.

I thought it might be in the Wellingtons but I was trying to think "look north." Then I thought Snake Plains but now I think that's Mt Montague, perhaps from White Timber Mountain?
