Anyone been mountaineering in Taiwan? Specifically the highest mountain, Yushan. Other info on things to do and see in February would be gladly accepted.

No, but I did try and find some information when I was there in Dec/Jan a few years ago, none of the tour companies were operating over this time as the weather is at its worst. Landslides limited some of the areas I wanted to walk as well.

I would like to go back but would go in a different season.

I have a Taiwanese friend who is in a mountaineering club there, met her while walking the Bibbulmun. Happy to put you in touch if it would help, I am sure she would be happy to give you a steer in the right direction.
