Mustang Valley, Nepal

I believe there is now a road all the way up the Mustang valley. Has anyone done this trek recently? i am trying to find out if you trek on or near the road, does it take the serenity away or is the trekking route no where near it?

If you don’t get responses the Trip Advisor Nepal forum has lots of posts on the AC road building impact. Some Trekkers say it has ruined it while others say there are alternatives.
