Hi all I’m hoping to find a route through from the Lyell into Travellers Rest Lake then onto Lake Ina. Is there a route? Not keen on a massive bush bash. Cheers
There's a track to Travellers Rest. Gated road in a small patch of trees between two bigger bits of open ground, about five km east of Derwent Bridge. After the Lagoon it peters out, but getting to the Lake is easy if a bit damp. Beyond that, you're on your own, but it's generally fairly open country that side of the water.

Thanks for this. We’ll give it a crack in January. I understand the western side of travellers is thick country so hopefully the eastern side is navigable without too much of a bash.

Hi dunamis, it’s a few years since you posted this but did you end up finishing this route? I’d be keen hear about the route you took and how you found it. I’m Planning to walk from Lake Ina to Lake Travellers rest in the next few months.
