Jackson Creek via Moses Creek

Postby Kickinghorse » Tue 29 Sep, 2020 10:42 am

Am in the planning stages for a walk up to Junction Lake from Mersey Valley Rd end and onto Lake Myrtle, then out via the Jackson Creek Track. Can anyone advise as to the more appropriate route ie would this be better done in reverse?

The walk through to Jackson creek is a bit of mixed bag. it has some really nice sections of tall old myrtle forest. This is balanced by some ugly srub around that borders cloister lagoon. The climb up to the platuea isnt too bad. I dont think one way is any better than the other. Combing this with a walk up past lake bill would make a great circuit, mind you the walk along the road between carparks wouldnt be overky pleasant
