Mersey river crossing McCoy falls?

Postby tigercat » Thu 28 May, 2020 7:08 am

Anyone know if there is still a log jam for crossing the Mersey above or below McCoy Falls?

There are always logs across the river somewhere or other. Plenty of potential crossing points, and mostly easy walking in the forest sections beside the river. I went across and the first big log I found, and then passed at least three others.

Probably too late for you, but might help others... Large log jam downstream of McCoy was still there Xmas/NY 2019/2020. A few also afterwards, but I also found a couple of fords that were quite easy to wade across (less than knee deep then) but that would depend on how much water is flowing through.
