Heaters not working on Overland Track

I hear that the heater at Pelion is out of action and there is no wood for heater at Bert Nichols. Anyone confirm this?

Can confirm that the heater at New Pelion hut was not working for sometime but it was scheduled to be repaired. That was about for weeks back.

The heater at New Pelion was not working when I was there last month. There was plenty of cut wood at Bert Nichols underneath the building. I would be surprised if it is gone. Also Pine Valley has no coal.

The gas heaters put out s*&^%$#a heat, so I'm surprised anyone noticed.
