climb Cradle this w'end

Gday all. have plans to summit Cradle this weekend if the long term weather forecast holds. just a few quick questions on the conditions. how is the road into Cradle if there is recent snowfall? and if there has been recent snow is it still worth attemping this time o year? any help greatly apprieciated, cheers.

the road to Lake Dove is public access so normally cleared, leave the drive up till the arvo, stay a cupla nights is best in winter for a long day walk. There will likely be snow on the summit approach, nothing stopping you turning back if your worried, should be able to get most of the way, easier especially if others have been up beforehand.

Just to add that you could ring the visitor centre at Cradle to ask about the road conditions on the day, they get sick of being asked but hey...

cheers much. am thinking about starting early sat morning and staying sat night so i'll have sunday aswell if the sat' sees too much snow and ice. looks like a cold , icey weekend !!!!
