What a pity the new system hasn't already started - the delightful pair of birds would have done beautifully in the non-landscape comp.

Thanks Chris, I knew my two curlews wouldn’t really compete with the landscapes but it is one of my favourite photos from a recent hike on Hinchinbrook Island so I put it up anyway, despite having some nice landscape shots that I could have submitted. I don’t even vote for my own photos so am happy to get two votes! Haha I think we will see a wider range of interesting shots with the new non-landscape category.

Yes I agree the new format is a great idea! More comps means more stunning pictures!! I also liked the format of this one being in numbers so noone knew where the photos were from.... :wink:

Master of the 'point and shoot' is about all mate & even that is stretching things :oops:
Nice shot Mark, Mt Owen was a surprise walk wasn't it. I didn't expect such good views & the craggy mists just added to the ambiance on this day.
