Gee, I feel sorry for the seven people that are going to lose. Tough choosing a winner this month. Best of luck to you all.

Seems the worst anyone did in the voting this month was equal third... A great result to all entrants, congrats to Mickeymoo.
For the right-place-right-time award I really like tas-man's "Spotlight on the wilderness".
That Kitchen Hut photo's also great.
Then there's... Well, they're all good!

I was pretty stoked to actually get a few votes this time. By far the best I've ever done (and I didn't even vote for myself).

Well done Mickeymoo - fabulous shot. That waterfalls stretch of the Mersey is a wonderful area.

Yes - well done people.
Having been there once - I particularly liked the Fergusson Falls shot
- but I thought that both competitions had terrific photos all round - all deserving of commendation.

Personally I thought the disappearing Tarn shot was a stand out.

These were all great shots. I had a very hard time making a choice but eventually went with A Spotlight on Wilderness because of the eerie/unusual effects, but I could have easily selected several including Fergusson Falls. Congratulations Mickeymoo :). Nik that must have been interesting to enter Kitchen Hut from upstairs  .

I was very excited, John. I had always wanted to use the upstairs door legitimately. I have seen an even more dramatic photo of the hut taken a few days earlier though, where it had snow on the roof, icicles everywhere, and the photographer had to dig her way into the top door on her own. She posted it after my trip report here somewhere.

here it is

We met her half way along the track at Pelion Creek going the other way.

Thanks Nik, that's amazing  (great trip report too :)). Having only been there in non-snow conditions it's hard to imagine it. What about the loo nearby, I guess that was completely buried?
