Curious - only 4 entries and yet there were 7 in the Aus comp and one of them was from Tasmania!?

What is going on

We struggled for entries this month. With little more than a week to go and only one entry, we put up a news article on the home page encouraging entries. Once we had enough to confirm the comp this month, we changed the news article to remind people that they had until midnight on the 19th to get the entries in. Maybe it's been too cold for cameras this month?
Hopefully next month will bring more.
If we ever don't get enough entries for a comp, the entries will be carried over to the following month. My understanding would be that such occasions would allow the 1 or 2 that did enter, to again enter in the following month and have 2 chances. I hope it never happens, though as I recall it should have happened back in November 2008.

Congrats sbs - a beautiful atmospheric shot. Whereabouts at Mt Field was this taken?

Cheers alliecat, the photo was taken at an unnamed tarn between Lanes Peak and Mt Lord - the whole day was definitely atmospheric, as is your shot.
I love the walk up to Sth Wellington from the Icehouse track, have done it several times - really cool boulders through there....
BTW. commiseration's robl. missed it by that much  Great shot, and gotta love the snow gums Peter, love the title!

Wow, how close can it get. Congratulations SBS and robl loved your shot too. Both have an air of mystique. :)
