It worked before we hopped on the plane but when I tested it in New York it leaked everywhere.
rather than muck about I took advantage of the low cost in America to buy a replacement.
I have to say I like the new one better than the old but I did expect to see some improvements in 30 years, the only things wrong with the new one are that i can't balance my army kidney cup on the pot supports and I will need to make a new insulated base, apart from that I am very happy with the upgrade.
I know the X-GK isn't lightweight but it is the best I know of for boiling water and melting snow and that is my main use for a stove, otherwise I use wood in the tin can Hobo stove, i may now have to retire my old SIGG dixie as they look decidedly old compared to the new stove LOL
