My sister was browsing lately and found this great site about the history of outdoor gear, has anyone seen it? I found photos, ads and instruction for my wonderful old Ultimate pea pod. I bought the tent second hand and it must be about twenty years old, but then everything (except me) seems to be about twenty years old.

If you read the bio on the compass site link, what a guy - what an interesting career he's had.

wow thanks guys!
i found specs to my old macpac which no one knew much about anymore.
I even emailed macpac themselves and they didnt know much about my pack.

Relative to inflation, i think top Gear is generally much more affordable these days. I remember my sleeping bag costing an average of 1-2 weeks wages back in the 80s.
