I had been eyeing one of those kestrel 4000 weather stations, that are very light. they the good thing about them is that it can track temperature changes over the night as you sleep, so you can tell exactly how cold it got, and at what time, etc.
I think at the end of the day, it'll be another one of those gadgets that I want but dont need, and will just be dead weight to carry around.

I cannot see how it could, and am unaware of any temp sensor in my Garmin e-trex.

Good website to subscribe to if you like IT gadgets & stuff.
Doesn't say much in the specs, what the max & min temp's it will work in, how heavy, etc.
