Deals to be had

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but unfortunately the Devonport Backpackers Barn is going out of business. Everything in store is 35-60% off. A lot of stuff's been sold, but there's still some good pickings to be had. I am disappointed to see them go- other than one other store in the region, they are the only place where I felt I got really good advice.

Anyhow, lots of goodies still to be had.

What a shame. I really liked that shop and the friendly staff. :(

In some respects we are all to blame for the demise of a real BW shop in Devonport due to us buying overseas .
Over the years I purchased a titan cook set ,two raincoats, two pairs of boots, lots of socks, expedition tent, expedition stove ,trangia + gas conversion, several bladders, one rucksack, one day pack, fleece jacket ,fleece pants, puffer jacket, thermals including the new merino type ,freeze dried food, gas .shellite, maps , books and so the list goes on and on ,always treated with respect got the best price to suit both of us and after sales service if required.
I did my bit to buy locally did you??
Me thinks it will be the old spilt milk situation when it closes :(

Unfortunately, I tell no idle tales. Pity too!
