TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Snow Peak Lapel Torch

Snow Peak have come out with a lapel torch. Not sure of its value to camping but still an alternative to the ubiquitous headlamps and it is good to see product development and new ideas being put into the marketplace.

According to Gizmag

The Lapel Torch packs up to 60 lumens of light output into a 1.4-ounce (39.7-gram) package. Sort of a multi-functional utility light for campers and outdoor users, it uses a magnetic clip that can be attached to your shirt, hat, tent pocket, etc. to offer a little more flexibility than a headlamp.

Petzl e-lite has a clip like that, been around for a long time... Not nearly as powerful though, 60 lumens is pretty bright for one led is'nt it.

Seems a nice idea but wouldn't it offer less control than a head torch, especially when you're hands are busy? Or is its purpose somewhat different?
