TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Anti Slip Mats

The thin Anti Slip matting you can buy is ideal for preventing your sleeping bag from sliding off Thermarest Pro Lite Mats and for stopping the Thermarest slipping all over your tent floor (or hut bunk).
A 2000mmx430mm 96gm roll from Chickenfeed costs $2.00 and as a bonus it has additional thermal property .
An easy cheap and clean solution to what can be a pain in the butt.

Franco thanks for your suggestion.

I sprayed both sides of my mat with a rubber-based material waterproofing spray - it hasn't had slipping issues since either!

i can't remember the name.. (maybe Sellys- whatever was cheap there at the time), but it was a silicon rubber based spray like a flyspray can from .... KMart I think cost about $15ish... took about 3 layers (drying inbetween) and emptied the can. did get a slight colour shade change... kinda looks like a thin layer of clear rubber.
It had "picnic blankets" and "coats" in the suggested uses...
