TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hot tent stoves Heads up

I know most of you find this a bit weird but it is common OS
I was looking on eBay for something else and found this well designed portable stove from Russia on sale
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Safe-Wood-St ... 2636325482?

It isn't cheap but it is well designed and I'd be happy with the weight for a base camp situation even if the weight isn't given
It has to mass less than my old cast iron stove.

Link won't open for me Franco
But I could deal with 11kilos for a base camp stove although sauna stoves usually come with rocks too, was that weight with or without the rocks?

OK Dear Bushwalk people I have a cunning plan to take over the back country world How much would YUO pay for a nice hot sauna at the end of a days skiing??
Franco and I will set up a chain of these between Falls Creek and Mt Hotham and provide you with towels and chilled chamapgne while you sooth your weary bones and muscles for a very nominal fee
Oh Wait Sorry wrong thread.
They do have some nice tents on that website tho, especially if a back country sauna was what you are after
