TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Going to grab a pair of gaiters for up north. Grabbing them online as I cant get into mainpeak.I will grab two pairs of the Sea To Summit QUAGMIRE CANVAS Gaiters but just unsure about the sizing and haven't seen any info on the net. My gf and I have similar sized feet at about 8.5uk and around 5"9' with 'normal' sized calf muscels. I'm guessing medium will be fine but was wondering if anybody else has some real world experience.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,
My medium sized Sea To Summit QUAGMIRE CANVAS Gaiters are 38cm around the calf and the length at the back is 40cm.

yeh ive wear 8.5UK and Medium fit me fine without crampons.
i need the Large when I wear crampons, but then Large is too big for me without crampons + mountaineering boots

Hope the Mediums work for you. I'm 175cm, size 9 and have only bought Large. Good coverage and ventilation. The people at Scouts pointed me to Large as what seemed like the default setting when I got my first pair. So maybe the difference is minimal.
