not much else to say except ask for recommendations based on experience please.
Not wanting to spend $400 unless its actually only way to get one.
Anyone had experience with this?
the Torrentshell Jacket from Patagonia has been designed to keep you dry in even the heaviest downpour. I want it to survive more than one downpour.
It looks short though and doesn't look as though it would cover much of the rear end. Sounds like it may sweat inside too.
The rain we have been having lately is as heavy as I've seen it, and my work gear made me wet through and I'd guess my Paddy Pallin Goretex, now several years old, would not stand yesterdays wet weather either.
