TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I am looking at this Sewing kit from Zpacks
https://zpacks.com/products/sewing-repa ... 6918582308 to add to my repair kit
and I just cant find anything else locally online like it.
Does anyone know a local place with something similar in Aus?
Or doing a Zpacks order that I can piggy pack postage?
TIA

You can buy Kevlar thread (but it's not cheap) and then a mattress needle from any supermarket.
Given how well tape works on Cuben i'd carry thread to repair other stuff, dental floss was a go-too but there are probably more long-term/approriate options (given not a lot of cotton/canvas is still in use). A mattress needle fits well inside the mini floss containers..

I usually carry some whipping twine (waxed thread, available in varied colours and thicknesses) and a similar needle. It's been used to mend everything from the pack to my trousers. Very long lasting stuff.
Easily available from chandlers, and fairly cheap.
