TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Merrell MOAB 2 GTX alternative sought

Postby RobG » Sat 13 Feb, 2021 7:40 pm

I've currently got a pair of MOAB 2 GTXs which will wear through the sole before long so I'm looking for new boots.

These boots were comfy straight out of the box and suit my wide feet but after a year of use, they are proving to be less than waterproof so I'm not really convinced that the whole waterproof thing is worth paying extra money for .

Any suggestions and advice for a lightweight boot would be gratefully accepted.
