Mont Moondance 2 FN or Mesh

I have read lots of posts on this forum to glean ideas for a 2 person hiking/biking tent to be used by my partner and I in southern Australia and NZ outside of winter. Have settled on Mont Moondance 2 and visited local retail outlets to see it erected and confirm our choice.
Both outlets salespersons said it was a good choice and as it happened is a tent they use and recommend for our intended purpose. Problem being one uses the FN and the other the mesh and both say it’s ideal for us.
We would appreciate advice from anyone that has these tents.

If you will predominantly encounter wind, cold and snow the get the full nylon inner.

If you will predominantly use the tent in summer, warm and fair conditions the mesh will be the better option.

Just a reminder that the Moondance isn’t a 4 season tent despite the marketing. It uses the same hubbed pole design as many other brands.

I’ve used my Moondance 2 FN in both winter and summer conditions - and can honestly say it’s terrific. It’s survived 50kt gusts camped at Dixon’s Kingdom in the Walls of Jerusalem as well as torrential rain on the Port Davey Track. The floor is bombproof - basically camped on a pond on the Port Davey and no water penetrated the floor. I can’t give any advice on snow conditions though as I’ve never encountered them.

I have full nylon and have experienced no condensation at all - to be honest it has less condensation than my hilleberg (my winter tent) - the vents on the inner and the additional vent you open on the fly eliminate all condensation.

i'd go with the mesh - offers more flexibility and in all honesty...its more likely you'll be out in decent weather most of the time.

I own the FN version, I got it because I live in Tassie which isn't exactly known for its abundant humid nights! I'm also a cold sleeper so always go for a warmer option if available. As Tazz81 says you can unzip the door and roof vents in the inner which have mesh the other side of them. Personally I'm happy with the FN version and for me the conditions I encounter the most, its the right choice.

I would just be realistic in what conditions you will use it in most and if you consider yourself and partner to be cold or warm sleepers. Also I have never had any condensation issues with it.
