This is meet and collect in Tassie only.

I have two spare copies of The Abels, Vol II Part A, 2nd edition (the new one); one hardcover, one soft. PM me with a good sob story for why you can't afford to buy one, and the two best will score.

Hey NNW ??
What about a sob story about being unable to afford the fare to come and collect?

Find someone who is crossing the Strait in the foreseeable future and you're in with a good chance.

I just don't have the spoons to muck about with postage for these.

Another one from the moving sale.

A Hennessey hammock zip and I think expedition model, and a synthetic under quilt.

Perfect condition and I hope someone will get some good use out of it.

Don't thank me for this one as I got it free from another member so I am litterally paying this one forward.

Pickup Footscray or postage.

I have an Aldi Ambiano Dehydrator that needs a new home - It looks like it has never been used, its still in the original plastic although not in its box.

Pickup from Brisbane southside - it looks too big to post (sorry).

One for the Aarn pack owners.

This is an adaptor to turn your front packs into a day pack. Suits the pockets on my Featherlight Freedom but not my Mountain Magic - have a close look at your front pack attachment points and the clips and you will work out whether it will suit. Weighs 47g.

Btw if you have the Lasso Lock straps you can join them and use them instead- that's what I gave always done with mine so this little adaptor is unused. Free to good home, but you will need to pay postage. Image

I’d love the hammock if it’s still available, but will pay for postage. If still available, I’m happy to sort it out by pm.

Will now need to go through my stuff…..plenty needs offloading.

Chris, if EGM is happy for me to have the hammock, I’ll send the underquilt on to you, as I don’t need it, but I haven’t heard from EGM

Sorry guys, I have been AFK for a while. Been busy over Christmas and moving.

The hammock stuff is no longer available.
Everything else I listed here is also given away or at the op shop.

Anybody interested in a parcel of mens XL and XXL clothing?
Mainly shirts but a couple of pairs of pants; a mixture of business shirts [ all Van Heusen 41/42 neck ] plus some other general long sleeved utility shirts.
Postage in the big satchel at your cost this time. All stuff too good to put into the collection bags for street pickup

Offering up my home altered Extra Extra Wide synthetic overbag.
It's on the heavy side being so large but it works well enough.
Making some new ones so no longer needed. adds about 10C to a bags lower limit. If somebody wants to experiment with a double bag system while white stuff is still on the ground.
Also usable as a stand-alone survival sack if it's not raining.
I'll ask the taker to kick in for postage, negotiable tho.
Pickup here in Geelong is OK

Two air mattress. Sea to summit extra short inflatable sleeping mats, one is the yellow and the other is the orange more insulated version. They are about 140-150cm long.

Leaky, send me a PM and you can try to find the leak in each.

The yellow I got a slow leak and tried to find it. Patched one spot with a stick on patch then fixed that spot again with the fabric and adhesive. Some improvement but it still has a very slow leak.

The orange one has had very little use and just recently developed a slow leak requiring a few puffs if you wake up in the middle of the night. I couldn't be bothered looking for the miniscule leak.

Got used to sleeping on foamies two years ago and happy to go with that. I'm over air mats for a while...

First in can get both mats to look for a fix. They are great to sleep on, lighter and I have never needed a regular length mat. An xs length still goes from below the knee to shoulder or head especially if you sleep with a pillow.

MSR Whisperlite kit (older)

Free to a good home.

A powerful but older MSR Whisperlite stove, in good working order and with maintenance parts.

The stove is a 1990 pre-Shaker Jet Whisperlite, meaning you need to occasionally clean the jet with a fine wire. That one item aside, it purrs along as well as a newer Whisperlite.

This is the base model Shellite-only Whisperlite.

Stove assembly includes:
Stove
Grey MSR pump, recently serviced
Kit of spares for pump seals
A compatible 600ml fuel canister

Note that you can buy new MSR pumps compatible with the stove.

Why move it on? I was kindly gifted a newer Whisperlite compatible with kerosene, and I’ve also received bounty from the PIF scheme. I am happy if this stove can cater for groups or mountaineers (or groups of mountaineers) again.

Teen/youth sized drovers coat.
I picked this up for my GD but it doesn't come from Dangerfield so not wanted.
Luckily I only paid $10-
It does need reproofing but I can maybe find some Nikwax and do it, I also have a green dyebath here and I could maybe re-dye it to make it a bit brighter.
Suit to somebody smaller, say a ladies size 6 to 8 or a slim teenager
Free to anybody who wants it, PM me if you want it and want me to try and dye or reproof it with the Nikwax as the usual treatment is wax based and I don't have any of that stuff

OK who wants this now?
Having played with it and in my own context of melting snow for drinking and cooking water it offers no benefit over the XGK-Expedition and I will include a small insulated base board for snow use, not that no spares are included, they got left out of the original posted package. Also it isn't really compatible with my preferred winter fuel mix of 50/50 Shellite and Kero which the XGK works best with; even tho it does mean metho priming is needed.
I'm on my third XGK, if winter and white is your preferred season then liquid fueled stoves work best for longer trips IME.

Hi moondog55.

I would love to have a play with that stove.

Not sure what it is about shellite stoves, but I'm just fascinated by them.

I've got a Coleman 533 and a couple of Primus PT-1s so I'd like to try out a remote stove.

Thank you,
OS

For the coffee lovers - Found this in my gear box, unused and not wanted
Soto wire coffee drip filter with mesh bag and packet of new paper filters
(Bought it for travel in Europe and being minimalist ended up not taking it)
Brand new unused - postage packaging say $8 if anyone wants it
