WTB: 1p trekking pole tent

Postby jadasa » Fri 24 Dec, 2021 9:16 pm

Eg, Tarptent Protrail or Six Moons lunar solo. I like both of these basic designs so am putting feelers out to see what's available. My budget is probably limited to silnylon but if you've got a fancy version that you'd like to offload then let me know!
I'm ideally after something in good condition, but am happy to wield some seam sealer if necessary.

I'm located in tassie.

Thankyou

HI mate, if you dont get many replies the lanshan trekking pole tents seem to get favourable reviews and are very similar to the six moon designs lunar solo, I much prefer the protrail though.

https://ultralighthiker.com.au/products ... 1-pro-tent $279 from a melbourne hiking store (never used them but might be okay)

or

$196 to $263 from aliexpress china (have used aliexpress before.)

Hi Threshold,

Thankyou. I have seen those around and they do look intriguing. I believe they use a nylon which is slightly more prone to sagging (which in reality is not a big deal when the pole tension can simply be lengthened to compensate).
I think I am leaning slightly towards the protrail overall though. I'll wait a bit and see if anyone does have an old one to offload, otherwise I'll look further into the lanshan options.
Cheers!

That business is not far from me. Small business run from her home. I've been there to pickup a few bits and pieces. Lovely person and easy to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from there.
