2012 Photo of the Year preliminary competitions are now open. As per usual, it is the same five categories for both Australia and Tasmania (Animal, Vegetable, Mineral, Water, Why I Walk).

The preliminaries close on the 16th of March, after which the winners will be combined with winners from the 12 monthly competitions from 2012 in the grand final.
